The purpose of this letter is to show appreciation for the work done on my home in Wasilla, Ak. I am disabled and was in need of a downstairs shower unit. When the local Mat-Su Home Builders’ Association found out about my situation they graciously stepped up and paid for the handicapped shower unit which was totally out of my financial reach.

Other thank you’s go to Mat Su Home Builder members including Spenard Builder’s Supply for a pocket door unit which allows me access with my wheelchair. Slaydon Plumbing provided an ADA hand held shower faucet at cost and Dan of Vannoy Electric for rewiring work that was sorely needed. Lowes supplied exhaust fans that will keep the moisture down. Lastly I want to thank BEMA Construction Co. for donating labor, materials and oversight of the work.

Without this work I would have to struggle upstairs in order to bathe; this help will greatly improve my life and I can’t express enough my gratitude. There are many good people in this Valley.

Join fellow members of the Mat Su Home Builders Association for monthly membership meetings. The purpose of the MSHBA monthly membership meetings is to offer another communication link between members and the association, offer a forum to discuss community development, give additional membership exposure, and have fun!

All meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month, 5:30 – 7:00 pm except where noted.
